Wat Chaiyamangalaram Thai Buddhist Temple Penang. I usually spend a long time editing my videos but on this occasion, as an experiment, I thought I`d just join the individual clips together and let them tell the story... Peter Quest of Lovely Planet tv takes you on a tour of the Wat Chaiyamangalaram Thai Buddhist Temple in Penang.
Highlights from Lovely Planet tv`s forthcoming films from SE Asia... This video contains selected highlights from Peter Quest`s latest adventures in S E Asia. In late August 2015, against all odds, Peter, accompanied by his friend Gill, travelled to Thailand and Malaysia to fulfil his wish to film the opening of the magnificent new Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple of Devotion & Understanding in Penang. During this visit he also went along to the Erawan shrine in Bangkok where, just a few days before, a terrorist bomb had claimed the lives of both Thai and non Thai victims. Please watch until the end of the video. Near the end Peter pays his respects with footage which is intended as a small tribute to those who lost their lives. The video also features Jim Thompson`s house - a popular Bangkok tourist attraction, Malaysia`s Batu Caves near Kuala Lumpur and Penang tourist attractions as well as highlights from the opening ceremony of the new temple in Penang and an event celebrating the Appearance of Lord Krishna which took place at Iskcon Malaysia HQ in Kuala Lumpur. Coming soon... Please watch out for Peter`s forthcoming individual videos from Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok featuring many of the scenes from this highlights video, produced by Peter for his website www.LovelyPlanettv.com.

Here`s a previously unpublished video of the start of my first railway journey - from Bangkok`s Hualamphong Train Station, as I embarked on the sleeper train, over the border into Malaysia and down to Butterworh Station (Penang). From there (and not shown on the video) it was down on another overnight train to Kuala Lumpa to meet the Krishna`s courtesy of my friend Simheswara Dasa, (General Secretary of Iskcon Malaysia) who met me at Kuala Lumpa`s Sentral Station.
